Town Events
Some of our programs and events require pre-registration. The fastest and easiest way to secure a spot in our programs and events is through e-Services. Anyone who is unable to use e-Services can visit the front desk at the Torbay Common any day of the week between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., or contact our staff by phone at (709) 437-6555 or email the event contact indicated under all of our programs and events.
Fire Prevention Lunch and Learn
Join our Fire Prevention Officer with the Torbay Volunteer Fire Department as he shares helpful information and ways to keep you and your loved ones safe from fires. A light lunch will be provided.

Start of Summer BBQ
Help us kick off the start of summer with a free grab-and-go BBQ! Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served while quantities last. In case of poor weather conditions, this event will move inside.

Picnic at the Beach
A time so nice we’re doing it thrice! We will be enjoying another picnic at Torbay beach again this summer. Lunch will be provided, which includes a sandwich, cookie, water, and/or lemonade. Participants are welcome to bring their own camping chair. We encourage people to carpool if possible as parking is limited.

The Town of Torbay is pleased to announce its annual Time in Torbay events spanning July 24, 25, and 26, 2026. We will offer something for all ages so be sure to come on up and have a Time in Torbay!

Inclusion Advisory Committee Events
These events are part of our Inclusion Community programming, designed to create a welcoming and supportive space for individuals and families who benefit from inclusive environments.
Fire Hall Tour and BBQ
Come explore your local fire hall and get an up-close look at the fire trucks. Enjoy a guided tour followed by a community BBQ. This is a great opportunity to meet your local firefighters and learn more about what they do.
