Pre-authorized Debit Agreements
If a Pre-Authorized Payment Plan was in place during 2024, it will automatically renew for 2024. The 2025 Pre-Authorization Plan will remain in effect and continue each consecutive year until the customer notifies the Town of cancellation in writing.
If you wish to cancel or discontinue your PAD agreement, you must contact the town office at 437-6532 or email dfinlay@torbay.ca as soon as possible.
This agreement will commence on January 1 and /or 15, 2025 unless otherwise instructed.

Guaranteed Income Supplement – GIS
Residents currently in receipt of the Guaranteed Income Supplement may be eligible for a 25% discount applicable to the primary place of residence only.
A Town application and GIS entitlement letter must be provided to the town each taxation year. Download the application here (deadline for submission of completed applications is June 27, 2025).

Low Income Property Tax Reduction
Residents may be eligible for a 20% Property Tax Reduction for their primary place of residence only.
Single income must be less than $22,056.00, or family annual income less than $52,848.00 to qualify for this reduction.
A town application must be completed each taxation year, and a 2024 Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue Agency must accompany the completed 2025 application. Download the application here (deadline for submission of completed applications is June 27, 2025).

If you or your representative require any further information regarding your taxes please fill out the 2025 Public Tax Information Request Form and submit with the $50.00 fee.
Municipal tax payments are due March 31, 2025.
TAX PAYMENT OPTIONS
The Town of Torbay provides various options for paying municipal taxes including the following:
- FINANCIAL INSTITUTION: Visit or call your financial institution to set up Town of Torbay as a payee.*
- ONLINE BANKING: Register Town of Torbay as a payee with your financial institution. Please search Torbay, as payee names may vary by bank.*
- PRE-AUTHORIZED DEBIT: Submit the PAD Agreement form to dfinlay@torbay.ca to set up automatic payments.
- MAIL: Send money orders or cheques/post-dated cheques to Town of Torbay at
