Chief’s Message
Welcome to the Torbay Volunteer Fire Department website. It gives us great pleasure to share a little about our fantastic group and what they do for our communities.
Torbay Volunteer Fire Department was started in 1974 and has grown to the department we have today, that has 3 stations and 6 trucks plus a rescue boat. Our members train all year round to be prepared for any and all emergencies that may come up. We respond to fire suppression calls, medical calls, road traffic accidents, water rescue and low angle rope rescue. Our department also has an active fire prevention program and a public relations program.
The Torbay Volunteer Fire Department consists of 42 passionate, dedicated and professional members, who work hard to give back to their communities (Torbay and Flatrock). We participate in many community events from parades, fireworks, school events and more. This is another way we can help our communities and give back to our neighbours.
Thank you for visiting our website and feel free to visit our “Join” page if you are also interested in giving back to the community and want to be a dedicated member of our member.
Take care
Sincerely,
Rodney Gaudet, Fire Chief
