SIP (Saturday Inclusive Program)
Event Details
Take part in a variety of activites within an inclusive environment, designed for persons with a disability and/or individuals who require additional support to participate in community programs.
When: Sat, 12:30pm–2:30pm

Activity Schedule
January 16 | Open Gym & Fluffy Slime: You’ll be introduced to new games and participate in open gym activities, followed by a fun slime craft. |
January 23 | Big Games & Naan Bread Pizza: You’ll participate in staff-led big games, such as boccia ball, floor curling, jumbo connect four, bowling, and floor checkers. Afterwards, we’ll be making naan bread pizza. |
January 30 | Movers and Shakers & Oobleck!: Join Movers and Shakers certified instructor Leah McDonald as she leads an active and engaging workout full of dance, exercise, and a whole lot of fun! Afterwards you’ll make your own ooey, gooey oobleck! |
February 6 | Cooperation Games, Bouncy Bubbles, & Lava Lamps: You’ll be led in fun cooperation games, such as basketball, boccia ball, floor curling, soccer pass/toss, goal ball, and pool noodle activities, followed by scientific experiements, including a bouncy bubbles experiment and lava lamp making activity. |

April 17 | Jumbo Board Games, Omnikin Ball Games, & Rock Painting!: You choose! You can choose to participate in staff-led big games, such as boccia ball, floor curling, jumbo connect four, bowling, and floor checkers or in Omnikin ball games such as Omnikin volleyball, train tracks, and more. Afterwards, you’ll take part in some rock painting. |
April 24 | Open Gym & Bingo: Choose your way to play and get active during open gym time and then try your luck at winning a prize with an afternoon bingo session. |
Due to COVID-19 regulations:
- Pre-registration through e-services only; there will be no drop-in service available.
- All participants and guardians will be asked to complete the COVID-19 screening questionnaire upon arrival to the program.
- Masks must be worn upon entry into any Town of Torbay facilities; participants must supply their own masks.
- A program may be cancelled if registration numbers are low or if provincial public health guidelines change.
