Mayor for a Day Contest
Event Details
What would you do if you were the mayor for a day? What would you do for the residents of Torbay? Submit a video to tell us what you would do if you could run for mayor of Torbay; what you would do to better the community and how you would campaign. Remember to state your name at the beginning of the video. Submit your video to kcombden@torbay.ca, along with your name, age, contact phone number & email, and mailing address, by June 22, 2020 at 4:00pm for a chance to be named Mayor for the Day.
On Municipal Awareness Day – June 24, 2020, Mayor Craig Scott will announce the winner of the Mayor of the Day contest on our social media channels and will reach out to the winner to discuss their campaign. The Mayor of the Day winner will also receive a gift basket from the town and be given the opportunity to visit, learn about, and tour the Town’s Municipal buildings at a later date.
Open to residents of the Town of Torbay only, ages 5-12.
Contest Deadline: June 22 at 4:00pm
Winners will be selected by June 24, 2020.
