Fire Prevention Week Kickoff

To kick off Fire Prevention Week on Sunday, Oct 7 we will be parading emergency response vehicles from various fire and emergency organizations through the towns of Torbay and Flatrock, starting from the Jack Byrne Arena @ 1:30 p.m..  The parade route is as follows:

• Lynche’s Lane
• Marine Dr. to Torbay Rd.Convent Lane
• Reddy Dr.
• McEvoy Pl.
• Bullock’s Town Rd.
• North Pond Rd.
• Torbay Rd. North
• Mannings Hill
• Country Dr.
• Patrick’s Path
• Bauline Line
• Torbay Rd. North
• Wind Gap Rd. to Flatrock
• Through Flatrock, North to Pouch Cove

The Torbay Volunteer Fire Department will also be visiting the schools in Torbay during the week to conduct fire inspections, drills, and speak with children on topics of fire safety, including this year’s Fire Prevention Week theme “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere.”
