Weekend of Fun at Torbay History House July 22 – 24

Celebrate culture and community at the Torbay History House. All events are suitable for all ages!

JULY 22

AN EVENING OF SONG AND STORY

Time: 7:00-9:00pm
Free Admission

An Evening of Song and Story celebrates folk music and storytelling tradition in Newfoundland. Featuring performances by Derrick Dymond, Dave Penney, Harry Ingram, and Ken Parsons. Presented in association with the Torbay Folk Arts Council Inc.

JULY 23

FAMILY DAY

Time: 10:00am-2:00pm
Free Admission

Join us at the History House for a day of family fun! Free snacks will be provided, along with plenty of activities for families of all shapes and sizes to enjoy. Activities include rock painting, paper lantern making, interactive storytelling, and a museum scavenger hunt. Each child who completes the scavenger hunt will be invited to pick a prize from our pirate treasure chest to take home!

PRIDE IN JULY

Time: 7:00-9:00pm
Free Admission

Celebrate Queer identity, snap some photos at our photo wall, and take in a drag show at the Torbay History House and Museum! This is an all-ages event. Featuring performances by drag queens Carmen Getit, Claws, and Wendy Die. Tipping is greatly appreciated!

JULY 24

PICNIC IN THE GARDEN 
Time: 1:00-3:00pm
Ticket sales end on the 21st of July

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the garden outside of the Torbay History House. Each group will be provided with a picnic blanket and picnic basket filled with sandwiches, chips, cookies, and lemonade. Food is provided by The Traditional Coffee House and Deli. If you have any concerns (allergies, accessibility), please email us, and we will work with you to provide proper accommodations!
