Reminder: February 10th Valentine drop off at Torbay Common

Prepare a homemade Valentine and drop it off at Torbay Common Community Centre (6 Kinsmen Place) on Thursday, February 10th from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. All Valentines collected will be given to the Seniors at North Pond Home.


Join the Department of Recreation in celebrating the 2022 Winter Olympics with a variety of activities that residents of all ages can join in on.

Current Challenges

Wellness Kit Activity Challenge

Submit a photo to show us how your family is staying active during Alert Level 4. All submissions will receive a wellness kit that will feature a pedometer, exercise stress ball, exercise resistance band, LED safety walking, skipping rope, and a snow sled for family sliding. To submit your photo email Kirk Combden at kcombden@torbay.ca.


Step Challenge

Join the Department of Recreation on a virtual walk to cover the entire 336KM of the beautiful East Coast Trail! This challenge is to encourage residents to remain active and get moving together as a community. Everyone who registers will receive a pedometer and a tracking sheet to track their progress. There will be weekly prizes and a grand prize at the end for the most steps taken! For more information or to register please contact smartin@torbay.ca.

Anxieties During a Pandemic Presentation

Join Grant Fitzpatrick of the Canadian Mental Health Association about the anxieties many are currently facing during the current Covid alert level. AgeRight Health and Wellness – Stretching Fitness Class

Work on flexibility and mobility. All classes include stretching but this one focuses on safe and beneficial ways to do so for the body.
