For those travelling, the City of St. John’s is allowing an exception to their State of Emergency to the St. John’s International Airport to resume operations, effective 5AM, Wednesday, January 22. Airport employees are permitted to travel to work prior to 5AM and effective midnight, January 21, taxi companies are also permitted to resume operations. Passengers travelling to the airport are asked to please drive carefully, carpool or take a taxi if possible to reduce traffic on the roads as crews work diligently to get streets clear. For details on operations and flights, please contact your airline or visit stjohnsairport.com.

Are you able to travel to the airport for a flight arriving after 9 pm

  2. Town of Torbay

There is an exception in place for taxis to drive to and from the airport outside the temporary lifting of the state of emergency, which would be the best option for travelling to the airport. If that is not an option then we suggest that you bring proof of the reason you are on the road such as a flight itinerary to show if you are stopped but we can not confirm that you will not be fined.

Is the open Gym and Tot play available the entire time you are open?

  4. Town of Torbay

Yes the Walking Track, Open Gym (6 years +), and Tots Soft Play (5 & under) will all be running from 10AM-3PM today, January 22.
