Update On Ongoing Fire Ban
Please be advised that a fire ban is currently in effect for the Town of Torbay. This is due to the hot and dry weather conditions and the ongoing efforts to fight the fires in Churchill Falls.
A reminder to residents that setting a fire at this time within 300m of any forest land is strictly prohibited, this includes having an open fire and the ignition of fireworks.
The Town of Torbay will provide an update as soon as new information becomes available. We appreciate resident’s cooperation and understanding at this time.
