Town of Torbay to Lift State of Emergency Effective 9:00 PM
Town of Torbay will lift it’s state of emergency effective 9:00PM on Thursday, January 23, 2020.
The Town Hall will open at 9:00AM and Torbay Common will open at 10:00AM, Friday, January 24, 2020.
Regularly scheduled community programming will be cancelled Friday-Sunday, January 24-26. Alternatively, free programming will be available at Torbay Common on those days including access to the Walking Track, Open Gym (6 years+), and Tots Soft Play (5 years & under) with parent supervision. Programming will run 10:00AM-3:00PM on Friday, 9:00AM-1:00PM & 6:00PM-9:00PM on Saturday, and 9:00AM-1:00PM on Sunday.
Snow-clearing efforts will continue and we ask all residents to be respectful of the Town’s snow-clearing operations and proceed with caution, as the significant build-up of snow can pose safety risks. Please take extra caution when exiting your driveway or parking lots, as high snowbanks can reduce visibility. Ensure children are not playing on curb-side snow banks and be cautious of pedestrian, as we all have to share the roads.
