Town Meets with RNC to Discuss Community Safety

Today, November 22nd, 2024, some of our staff and Deputy Mayor Mary Thorne-Gosse met with Sergeant J.E Cunningham of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Police to further discuss building initiatives for the betterment of our community!

Thank you Sergeant Cunningham for your work within the community and continuing our partnering work with the RNC towards our community’s safety!

Everyone has a roll to play in keeping our community safe, here’s what YOU can do as a resident to achieve this:

CALL 911 if you are witnessing dangerous and/or illegal activity.

REACH OUT to the RNC and make a statement directly, posting on social media does not achieve this. You must take it upon yourself to contact the police and report illegal activity.

TAKE EVIDENCE in the form of photos and/or videos and provide this to the RNC so that they can take appropriate measures in community safety and crime prevention.
