Support for Ukraine
Join the Town of Torbay in showing our support and sending prayers in a time of hardship in Ukraine
The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine and is oftentimes believed to represent both; loyalty and longevity. Throughout the country, sunflowers can be found amongst many golden fields and crops that make up the country that nearly 45 million citizens call their home. Throughout the week of February 28th-March 4th we kindly ask you and your loved ones to take some time, reflect and draw or paint a picture of a Sunflower standing amongst a blue background to help display; strength, loyalty, and longevity for the people of Ukraine.
To help show your support as a community, please drop off your picture at the Torbay Common from Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm (please include name and phone number on the back if you wish to receive your artwork back). All submitted paintings and drawings will be displayed at the Torbay Common Community Center to show our support for the people of Ukraine during this very difficult time.
