Return intersection to the way it was previously. Going threw there for 50 years and not an accident, its more of a safety concern now then ever before.

Come one Torbay residents speak up. We all know the change to this intersection is going to be the cause of a devastating accident! It’s only a matter of time. Get your messages to Dawn Chaplin at the Town office. Now is our last chance to speak up. If you don’t speak up now don’t bother after the intersection is completed or after an accident! Do the right thing!
I don’t disagree with changing the intersection back to two lanes instead of three…it does force you to stop before making the merge onto Bauline Line. I do think with all the space there, the width of the two lanes could be larger, and there’s no need to have them pushed all the way to one side of the space. There could have been plenty of room on both sides for anyone walking. Now that the barricade is moved, at least you can hug the corner when turning right, but there is lots of room to make for an easier right turn onto Bauline Line.
Hi Sharon,
thank you for your feedback. It will be forwarded on to council.
Thank you for your feedback, Tina. It’s much appreciated. It will be forwarded to council.
Personally I like it. It forces everyone to come to a complete stop and to actual look to see if there is traffic coming. I did like the old way but I witness alot of people rolling through the stop sign. I agree with Tina’s comment that coming onto bauline line could be made a bit bigger.
Thank you for your feedback, Tanya! It will be passed onto council.
I think it’s a good idea but not much room there for two cars to meet I have a large camper which I haul in that way when I take it home for the season but I don’t think that I will even able to get it in through the intersection now because it’s so tight there I would be nice to have it widen out some
Hi Craig,
thanks so much for this feedback. We will be sure it is brought to council.
