Re-opening of Some Outdoor Spaces

As the province lowers alert levels in the Provincial COVID-19 Alert System, the Town of Torbay facilities will gradually begin to open in compliance with the restrictions in place.

All Playgrounds Now Open – Use at Own Risk

Effective, August 4, 2020, the Town of Torbay has re-opened all municipal playgrounds. The playgrounds will be cleaned as frequently as possible, however, users are advised to bring and use hand sanitizer and practice proper hand hygiene following the use of playground equipment. Residents and visitors are asked to practice physical distancing of 2 metres/6 feet and to not use the equipment or enter the playground if exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms.

Torbay Common Playground

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter court if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
  • Closed for cleaning 7:30am-8:00am and 12:00pm-12:30pm daily
  • Closed to general public Monday-Friday, 9:30pm-12:30pm, July 13-August 21, to accommodate use by Summer Day Camp participants.

Torbay Common Skate Park

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter court if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
  • Maximum of 15 people at the park at a time
  • 60 minute time limit
  • Closed for cleaning 7:30am-8:00am and 12:00pm-12:30pm daily
  • Closed to general public Monday-Friday, 9:30pm-12:30pm, July 13-August 21, to accommodate use of Torbay Common grounds by Summer Day Camp participants.

Torbay Common Green Space

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter area if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
  • Closed to general public Monday-Friday, 9:30pm-5:00pm, July 13-August 21, to accommodate use by Summer Day Camp participants.

Upper Three Corner Pond Park Multi-Purpose Court

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter court if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
  • Enter and exit via separate and designated access areas
  • Maximum of 10 people on the court at a time
  • No sharing equipment
  • 45 minute time limit

Upper Three Corner Pond Park Tennis Court

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter court if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
  • Enter and exit one person at a time
  • Singles play recommended
  • Maximum of 4 people on the court at a time
  • No switching sides during play
  • No sharing equipment
  • 45 minute time limit

Upper Three Corner Pond Park Dog Park

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter court if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
  • Maximum of 10 people in the park at a time
  • 45 minute time limit
  • Always pick up after your dog

Woodbridge Lane Multi-Purpose Court

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter court if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
  • Enter and exit via separate and designated access areas
  • Maximum of 10 people on the court at a time
  • No sharing equipment
  • 45 minute time limit

Pineridge Area Green Space

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter area if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
  • Playground is closed

Whiteways Area Green Space

  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 meters/6 feet
  • Do not enter area if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms
