Public Notice | Water Service Repair
Please be advised that the Town of Torbay will be completing a water service repair on Bridge Road, Tuesday, August 13th starting at 9:00am.
Bridge Road will be reduced to one lane for the duration of this work but depending on what is found when completing the repair there is a chance that the section of road directly in front of 38 Bridge road will be temporarily closed with no traffic in or out due to the depth of the excavation and the limited width of the road.
If this temporary closure is required it will likely be sometime in the afternoon. We would like to ask residents who may need to get through this area to park their vehicles on Riverdale Drive so that you can ensure you will be able to have access to your vehicle and the remainder of Bridge Road.
There are no scheduled disruptions to water service in this area but residents may want to fill bathtubs for toilet flushing and have extra water on hand for drinking, cooking and other uses in case of emergency shutoff.
Residents may experience water discoloration, and pressure fluctuations during this time. It is recommended that residents run an outside tap, or the bathtub tap until the water runs clear.
The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks residents for their patience and understanding during this time.
