Public Notice | Update on Upcoming Water Service Repair
Due to the forecasted rainfall the Town will be moving the repair of the water service at 38 Bridge Road originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 2024 to Wednesday, August 14th starting at around 9:00am.
The road will be reduced to one lane for the duration of this work but depending on what is found when completing the repair there is a chance that the section of road directly in front of 38 Bridge road will be temporarily closed with no traffic in or out (emergency vehicles will still have access) due to the depth of the excavation and the limited width of the road.
If this temporary closure is required it will likely be sometime in the afternoon. We would like to ask residents who may need to get through this area to park their vehicles on Riverdale Drive so that you can ensure you will be able to have access to your vehicle and the remainder of Bridge Road.
Town staff will have vehicles stationed around the closure in which staff can drive residents who require assistance to/from their properties/vehicles. Please call the number below if assistance is required.
There are no scheduled disruptions to water service in this area but residents may want to fill bathtubs for toilet flushing and have extra water on hand for drinking, cooking and other uses in case of emergency shutoff.
Residents may experience water discoloration, and pressure fluctuations during this time. It is recommended that residents run an outside tap, or the bathtub tap until the water runs clear.
Changes or updates to the above information will be posted on the Town of Torbay’s website/socials and will be sent out to residents signed up for the Towns alert system.
The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks residents for their patience and understanding during this time.
Should you require further assistance please call 437-6532 ext. 286.
