Public Notice | Transport Canada Update

Transport Canada has recently received the results of the PFAS test conducted at the Jack Byrne Regional Sport & Entertainment Centre. The results have been sent to the respective Towns. Transport Canada has reported that the level of PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) at the Centre is 17.7 nanograms per litre. This is below the Canadian Drinking Water Standard of 30 nanograms per litre. The water will continue to be monitored, and further testing will be conducted to ensure the levels remain within the acceptable standard.
