Public Notice | Illegal ATV Use on Town Roadways
The Town of Torbay has been receiving numerous complaints regarding the operation of all terrain vehicles (ATV’s) and other motorized recreational vehicles on public roadways, public parks and other restricted areas. The Town is urging parents to please speak with their children about the safe operation of these vehicles, and let them know that operating these vehicles on public roadways is both illegal and dangerous . This is for the safety of all concerned, especially users and residents. The Town would like to remind all residents that the use of ATV’s and other recreational vehicles on public roads within the Town of Torbay is not permitted. Nor are they permitted on any Town walking trails, public parks or environmentally sensitive areas such as wetlands or beaches. A reminder that if you see illegal ATV activity within our town, please contact the RNC at 1-709-729-8000 and select option 1, or fill out the online reporting form: Https://www.rnc.gov.nl.ca/file-a-police…/online-reporting/ .
