Public Hearing – March 21st (Cancelled)


Due to no written objections to the amendments, this public hearing has been cancelled.


Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2017 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 2, 2017


The Town Council of Torbay has adopted Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2017, and Development Regulations Amendment No. 2, 2017.

A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the above noted Amendments will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st day of March 2018, at the Upper Three Corner Pond Park Multipurpose Building. Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2017 will re-designate an area of land for Forest Landing, Phase VII-C, from Rural to Residential. The amendment will also change the domestic cutting area boundary to remove the same area as the proposed area for the residential subdivision.

Development Regulation Amendment No. 2, 2017 will re-zone the same area of land from Rural to Residential Large Lot. The amendment will also change the domestic cutting area boundary to remove the same area as the proposed area for the residential subdivision.

Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation at the Public Hearing shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Torbay, two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation by 3:00 p.m. on the 16th day of March 2018. If no written objection or representation with respect to the Torbay Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2017, and Development Regulations Amendment No. 2, 2017 are received within the time indicated, the Public Hearing may be cancelled.

Council encourages residents to view a copy of the Torbay Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2017, and Development Regulations Amendment No. 2, 2017.
