BERNICE DRIVE AMENDMENTS
Monday, June 20, 2022, 7:00 pm, Torbay Common
The Town Council of Torbay has adopted Municipal Plan Amendment No. 4, 2020, and Development Regulations Amendment No. 8, 2020. The Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs has adopted St. John’s Urban Region Regional Plan Amendment No. 2, 2020. An Independent Commissioner of Public Hearing has been appointed to consider objections and representations on the above noted Regional Plan, Municipal Plan and Development Regulations Amendments.
A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the above noted Amendments will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, the 20th day of June 2022, at the Torbay Common, 8 Kinsmen Place, Torbay. The proposed Municipal Plan Amendment No. 4, 2020, will re-designate a parcel of land in conjunction with a seven (7) lot residential subdivision located at the end of Bernice Drive from Rural to Residential. The proposed Development Regulations Amendment No. 8, 2020, will re-zone the same area of land from Rural to Residential Large Lot.
St. John’s Urban Region Regional Plan Amendment No. 2, 2020, will re-designate the same land as described in Municipal Plan Amendment No. 4, 2020 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 8, 2020, from Rural to Urban Development.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation at the Public Hearing shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Torbay, two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation by 3:00 p.m. on the 17th day of June 2022.
Council encourages residents to view a copy of the Torbay Municipal Plan Amendment No.4, 2022, Development Regulations Amendment No. 8, 2022 and St. John’s Urban Region Regional Plan Amendment No. 2, 2020 at Town Hall, 1288 Torbay Road, Torbay, or on the Town’s website at www.torbay.ca.
