PROCLAMATION: Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Month
The Town of Torbay proclaims the month of November 2022 as “Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Month” in Torbay.
Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is a national, volunteer-based non-profit organization supporting the over 270,000 Canadians living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), a chronic autoimmune disease that causes the body to attach healthy tissue, leading to inflammation of part of or all of the digestive system.
Every November, Canada celebrates Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Month. As part of this initiative, landmarks across Canada are illuminated red in a show of support for everyone impacted by IBD.
