Planning and Development – Submitting Applications and Requests

The Planning & Development Department will carry out regular responsibilities, including processing of:

  • Development & building applications
  • Occupancy permits
  • Rezoning requests
  • Compliance letter requests
  • Planning & zoning inquiries
  • Refund requests

Processing Times

As operations are transitioning to social distancing, please ensure that you allow for sufficient processing times. Processing times may be affected. We will work through this together.

Compliance Letter Requests and Building/Development Applications

Effective immediately all compliance letter requests and building applications are to be submitted by email toJSlade@torbay.ca. Visit the Permits & Licenses page for links to forms and applications.

Please allow for a 5 day processing time-frame for compliance letters.

Processing of Fees

Payments can be made via online banking (preferred payment method; please advise) or by cheque to Town of Torbay:
