Open Call for Picco Ridge Memorial Steering Committee
The Town of Torbay and Town of Portugal Cove-St. Phillips are working collaboratively with consultant Mills & Wright to develop a memorial near the site of the 1978 plane crash that saw the loss of the ten passengers and crew that were on board, including Torbay’s first Mayor, William Manning.
We are seeking interested persons to participate in a steering committee that will serve as a focus group and work collaboratively with the consultants to help develop a thoughtful and respectful memorial at Picco Ridge, the site of the crash. The steering committee will be active for the duration of the project, with an approximate timeline of 16 weeks.
