Notice of Tax Sale | 1327 Torbay Road

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Town Council of the Town of Torbay (the “Town”) has resolved, pursuant to the Municipalities Act, 1999, SNL 1999, c. M-24, as amended, to offer for sale, by public auction, for the arrears of taxes, the property described as follows:
Property located at 1327 Torbay Road, Torbay, NL.

This property will be offered for sale by public auction at 10:00 a.m. on April 12, 2024, at council chambers, 1288 Torbay Road, Torbay, NL.

The property is being sold on an “as is, where is” basis, and the Town does not make any representations or warranties as to the condition of, or title to, any property. The purchaser is responsible for conducting any searches he or she deems necessary.

The purchaser shall bear the costs and responsibility of obtaining his or her own survey, if required. The purchaser must pay in full within 24 hours of the close of auction. Acceptable payment methods are: cash, certified cheque, money order, or electronic money transfer (EMT). It will be the purchaser’s responsibility to have the Deed of Conveyance registered with the Registry of Deeds for Newfoundland and Labrador.

The minimum bid for this property will be $37,401.68. The successful bidder will also be responsible for paying the remaining municipal taxes for 2024 in full at the time of purchase. The total remaining taxes for 2024 is $964.11.
