Festival of Trees 2024
The Festival of Trees is an annual fundraiser for the North East Avalon Foodbank hosted by the Torbay History House and Museum. A friendly competition, the decorated trees are then displayed at the History House and Museum and the public is invited to visit, tour the museum and vote on their favourite. The tree with the most votes is then rewarded with the People’s Choice Award and subsequently first, second, and third place. Winners will be announced on Saturday, December 21st.
People can come in and view all the trees starting on Saturday, November 30th from 9:00am – 7:30pm Mondays to Saturdays with a $5.00 admittance fee and/or a donation of a non-perishable food item.
The festival opening ceremony will be held at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church on Sunday, December 1st beginning at 2:30pm featuring Bud Davidge and Hamilton Sound. Tickets are $10.00 and all proceeds will be donated to the Northeast Avalon Foodbank. Tickets are available for purchase through e-Services.
