Expression of Interest Request – Torbay Environmental Advisory Committee


The Town of Torbay is currently accepting names of interested residents who would like to be part of the Torbay Environmental Advisory Committee (TEAC). The Town recently adopted an updated terms of reference for the committee focusing on environmental sustainability in our growing Town. TEAC is responsible for providing recommendations, guidance, and advice on issues relating to environmental matters to the Planning and Land Use Development Committee (PLUD).

TEAC will provide input on items such as community sustainability, storm water management, energy consumption/conservation, waste management, wastewater, water pollution control, wetlands, urban wooded areas and coastal erosion issues within the Town of Torbay at the request of the PLUD Committee and Council. A copy of the advisory committee’s terms of reference can be obtained by contacting the Town’s Planning and Development Department.

If you interested in becoming a part of the committee, please contact Brian Winter at bwinter@torbay.ca or drop off a letter of interest to the Town Office. Deadline will be Friday June 1, 2018 at 3pm.
