Development Notice | Discretionary Use | 1196 Torbay Road and 5 Curran Place
The Town of Torbay is in receipt of an application proposing to subdivide an approximately 1,100 m2 portion of land off the existing residential property at 5 Curran Place to consolidate it with the existing commercial lot at 1196 Torbay Road. The applicant is proposing to expand their exterior storage yard at 1196 Torbay Road for purpose of storing lawn care vehicles and equipment. The existing residential use at 5 Curran Place will remain with a minimum required lot area of 1,860 m2.
The property is located within the Mixed Development (MIX) Land Use Zone of the Torbay Development Regulations 2015-2025. The proposed exterior storage of equipment is defined as ‘light industry’, which is listed as discretionary in the MIX Land Use Zone. This
application is processed in accordance with Regulations 33 and 90, requiring public notification.
Anyone wishing to comment on this application is asked to contact the Town Office in writing. The deadline for written comments shall be Wednesday July 3, 2024.
