The Town of Torbay is in receipt of an application proposing a new agricultural use and single dwelling use for the property at 560 Bauline Line. The proposal is to construct a single dwelling and utilize the land north of the home for a proposed orchard. The portion of the property proposed for development is located within the Rural (RUR) Land Use Zone of the Torbay Development Regulations 2015-2025. Agricultural use is permitted in the RUR Zone. A proposed single dwelling use is listed as a discretionary use and may be considered by Council if accessory to agriculture or forestry uses. This application is processed in accordance with Regulations 33 and 90, requiring public notification. 

Anyone wishing to comment on this proposal, is asked to contact the Town Office in writing. The deadline for written comments shall be April 28, 2023. Further information on this matter may be obtained by contacting the Town’s Planning and Development Department.
