
Development Notice – 38 Motion Drive
VARIANCE REQUEST
The Town of Torbay is in receipt of an application from 38 Motion Drive proposing to construct an extension to the existing accessory building located in the rear yard. The property is located within the Residential Medium Density (RMD) Land Use Zone of the Torbay Development Regulations 2015-2025. The maximum permitted accessory building lot coverage is 85 square metres. The applicant is requesting a 10% variance which would increase the allowable accessory building lot coverage to 93.5 square metres, which is within the max. 10% variance provision that Council may consider. This application is processed in accordance with Regulations 11, 12, and 33 of the Torbay Development Regulations 2015-2025, requiring public notification.
Anyone wishing to comment on this proposal is asked to contact the Town Office in writing. The deadline for written comments shall be Friday, May 21, 2021. Further information on this matter may be obtained by contacting the Town’s Planning and Development Department.
