Development Notice – 19 Motion Lane

DISCRETIONARY USE

The Town of Torbay is in receipt of an application from 19 Motion Lane proposing to construct a 7’ x 7’ root cellar (underground) to be used in conjunction with a greenhouse for personal use. The application also includes a proposal to keep chickens for personal use (no more than 6). The property is located within the Residential Medium Density (RMD) and Conservation (CON) Land Use Zones of the Torbay Development Regulations 2015-2025. The proposed root cellar and chickens (including fenced area and chicken coop) will be located within the RMD Land Use Zone. The proposed traditional agricultural use is listed as discretionary in the RMD Use Zone, therefore this application is processed in accordance with Regulations 33 and 90, requiring public notification.

Anyone wishing to comment on this proposal, is asked to contact the Town Office in writing. The deadline for written comments shall be June 26, 12:00 noon. Further information on this matter may be obtained by contacting the Town’s Planning and Development Department.
