The Town of Torbay is in receipt of an application from 1323 Torbay Road proposing to redevelop the existing residential property.  The proposal is to convert the basement of the building from residential use to a commercial kitchen for catering purposes (meals are ordered online or by phone for pick up at a certain time of day for delivery).  The main (top) floor will remain as a residential apartment use.  Sufficient off-street parking is provided on site. The property is located within the Town Centre (TC) Land Use Zone of the Torbay Development Regulations 2015-2025, and the proposed catering use as well as the re-development of an existing residential use shall be processed as discretionary uses. This application is processed in accordance with the requirements of the TC Land Use Zone Table (Condition 5.) and Regulations 33 and 90, requiring public notification.

Anyone wishing to comment on this proposal, is asked to contact the Town Office in writing. The deadline for written comments shall be Friday, November 26, 2021, 12:00 noon. Further information on this matter may be obtained by contacting the Town’s Planning and Development Department.
