Call for Expressions of Interest to the Torbay Environment Advisory Committee
The Town of Torbay is currently accepting applications for two new members to sit on the Torbay Environment Advisory Committee (TEAC). The Town adopted Terms of Reference for the Committee in 2020 (Rev 3, Sept 8, 2020), focusing on environmental sustainability in our growing Town. The Town is looking for two individuals to join other professionals currently serving on the Committee.
TEAC is responsible for providing recommendations, guidance, and advice on issues relating to environmental issues to the Planning, Land Use & Development Committee (PLUD); this includes (but is not limited to) matters around community sustainability, storm water management, energy consumption, climate change, waste management, wastewater, water pollution control, wetlands, urban wooded areas and coastal erosion.
Copies of the TEAC “Terms of Reference” and “Application Form & Selection Criteria” can be found below. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Committee, please submit your application or direct any questions you may have to the Town’s Planning & Development Department by Friday, February 9, 2024.
