Resident’s are advised that a rock slide has occurred near Tapper’s Cove. As a result, Tapper’s Cove and the section of the East Coast Trail (Father Troy’s Trail) near Tapper’s Cove is closed to the public for safety purposes and to facilitate clean-up.

Question, is Tapper Cove open again as I notice activity down there daily. As well can council contact East Coast Trail and inquire the reason why the trail is still closed, when the threat has passed in the area. Fishers have their boats stored for the season in the area which was in question, I assume the trail could be re-opened
