A Statement from Mayor Craig Scott on the Passing of Councillor Ward Gosse

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we say goodbye to our friend and colleague Ward Gosse.
On behalf of council, staff and the residents of the Town of Torbay, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Karen and his three beautiful children Cassidy, Samuel and Makay. Nothing we can say or do will ease the sadness you are feeling and nothing will replace the love Ward had for you all.

Ward was a friend and fierce advocate for the residents of Torbay and always chose to do the right thing for the town even when those decisions may not have been the easy path. Ward brought the same level of passion and dedication to his role as a Councillor as he did as a competitor and father. He gave his all for the betterment of the town, his teammates and most of all his family.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work with and get to know Ward personally and professionally over the past number of years and will surely miss him.

I pray that God will welcome him home and grant peace and comfort to his family in this time of sadness.

Craig Scott
Mayor of the Town of Torbay
