“Fire and safety is paramount to every community. The Town of Torbay is very fortunate to have an outstanding Volunteer Fire Department, who are celebrating their 50th year anniversary of service to our community.

Over the past 50 years the Torbay Volunteer Fire Department have been serving the residents of the Town of Torbay, today they have two stations in the Town of Torbay and the Town of Flatrock. The volunteers and staff that make up the department are vital to our communities when it comes to all emergency events, their timely response to all matters not only helps save lives, but also creates a safer community to be a part of each and every day.

On behalf of the council, staff and the residents within the Town of Torbay, I would like to extend a congratulations to the Torbay Volunteer Fire Department on their outstanding years of service to our community.”
